Buone notizie dal mondo degli imballaggi!!! / Good news from packaging world!!!

This new year finally starts with good news from the world of packaging!

Do you remember that post I wrote about packaging from a big supermarket chain that distributes both normal and eco-friendly products?
I pointed out that, especially on a product –frozen peas–, the packaging of the green line was not recyclable, while it was that of the normal line.
Well, I do not know if I have any merit, but regaining the same product after a few months, I noticed with surprise that that packaging has been changed and now it is finally recyclable as you can see in the photo!

Hope to have been of inspiration for this change but even if my post was pointless, I consider this a beautiful news!!!

Sempre continuando a parlare di imballaggi in evoluzione…
Even continuing to talk about packaging evolutions...

Ve ne parlavo in questi post.
You already know that at home for years we consume raw milk, taken from vending machines, because it f saves us a lot of waste and comes most from nearby farms. I was talking about it in these posts.
From year to year –unfortunately for us– the vending machines of raw milk in our area have been reduced to just one. Also, this only machine is several miles away from home.
For this we have got used to stock up there only on weekdays, when we go to work just on that way. On the weekends, though, if we are short omilk, we go to the nearest supermarket and we are forced to take milk stored in carton or plastic bottles.

The milk carton still has many flaws for me. I do not find it a very environmentally friendly material, although it is praised far and wide and it has been found a way to recycle it. In my area we recycle it with the paper, but have you noticed that many packages of this material have the plastic cap? You take it off?
Therefore, the (organic) milk in question –that we take as an alternative to that of the vending machine– has a sort of plastic "hat", with the cap. I have always been stubborn to cut it off –with difficulty, threatening to hurt me– with scissors to separate the two materials for recycling but I recently noticed that the packaging has been modified to facilitate this separation and then recycling.

Finalmente!!!
Hurray!!!

Cominciamo il 2015 con il Plastic Guerrilla Contest di Katia! / Start your 2015 with Katia's Plastic Guerrilla Contest!

And finally here’s the new year!!!
I would like to start the 2015 by telling you something beautiful, even though these days turning on the TV it is impossible to ignore bad news.
Little healthy positive thoughts would not hurt, would help us to look at events from a different point of view, to feel lucky and not to feel victims…

So, I wanted to start by positive cues from me (and I have lots) but I want to share this post of my blogger friend Katia, who this year has made a very personal pledge with great courage and commitment involving all her readers with a contest.

I believe that her contest is fantastic, especially for the message: to abolish totally plastics!!!
You know how much I care about this topic, then I urge you to participate!!!

So here’s the link to visit, then you can participate by following her suggestions.
