Una piccola buona notizia / A little good news

Just a little thing of which the inhabitants of Viserbella can be happy: since the first of October, as the Hera promised (the local society of waste collection) – I wrote them asking for information –, the facility for light packaging recycling collection is active: every kind of package can be recycled, including plastic, steel and aluminium cleaned from residues, so bottles, cans, bags, transparent packages, boxes and films.
So, be careful to recylcing symbols which are impressed on packaging! I'll wrote more specific posts about symbols, recovering those I previously wrote.

Finally a nightmare is stopped for us who were forced to bring big bags with light packaging to the bins behind the ralway.
Now we hope that the collection of organic waste fraction will extend here in winter. We still must to do some walks bringing with us the biodegradable bags, full to the point ok breaking.

Unless we start to do composting. Yes, it will be a great step!
So I enjoy the presence of this nice little yellow wheelie bin that gives to this grey winter too much quite sea street a touch of colour more.

Hi Danda - that's great news. We have a saying in England (which is unfortunately used by one the the big supermarkets...Every Little Helps ;-D x

Danda ha detto...

Hi Mrs A.!!!
What a nice surprise finding you here again! :-D
Yes, it's true! This is a very little thing, but great for me!

So you're acquainted with the wheelie bins in front of my house, now! Isn't it big? LOL

And as regards the composter, IrishP. is searching on E-bay for another kind. That one we purchased a long time ago is too much big and uneasy to use: we need a real composting bin, much more like yours, and not a bag... maybe can it be his present for my next birthday in November? ROFL
;-Danda

Thanks!

It will be a great day, when at least the 1/1000 of Italians will wish a composter as birthday present...
You're great, Danda!
Cristella

(Could you translate it for the great Mrs Average?)
Thanks!

Evviva!
To update news: we've found the right composter for us, It will arrive before the date of my birthday, perhaps today or tomorrow!!! I can't wait! Hurray!

Hi Danda - well firstly let me say HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I hope the Composter has now arrived and that you have had the most fabulous time.

And a big hello to Cristella too and what a brilliant idea, if all those people in Italy got hold of a composter that would make such a difference. Perhaps you need to join together in a campaign. Thank you for translating, as you know my Italian is sadly only as good as my pasta making.

By the way Danda - do you guys have an easy but traditional pasta or pizza recipe to share. If so, I'll see if I can try and work it into my book. :-D

Danda ha detto...

Hi Mrs. Average!

Arrrgh... I must admit that I said too much eary of the composter! It isn't yet arrived, but I think it will happen today or tomorrow. I have to control firstly the order!

But, no, It wasn't my birthday! It will be on 5th of November! I think I did a bad translation! :-S
So, I was joking about the composer as birthday present! It was only for quoting to Cristella your past amusing episode of the singing composting bin!

Well, it's a good idea to make a campaign for composting, here in Italy. I could talk about it with Cristella and the new friends of Zero Waste Rimini, I knew during Ecomia meeting! I'm only frightened that local institutions would put obstacles because they think composting is not appropriate in the city, among close buildings, even if you have a garden. But I'll prove it all the same!

As regards easy tradition recipes for pasta and pizza: give me some time... Sorry, but during weekend I keep my computer shut off, so if only I read your comment last Saturday, you'd have your recipes today!
I'll write you soon, take care! ;-)

Ultimo aggiornamento: è arrivata!!!
Cosa? La compostieraaaaaa!!!

Last update: it's arrived!!!
What? The composteeeeeeerrrr!!!

Cristella ha detto...

Hello, Mrs Average!
Ciao, Danda!
