Due righe per dirvi che... / Few words to say that...

Ciao a tutti! / Hi everybody!

Lascio qui poche righe solamente per dirvi che ci sono!

In questi giorni sono un po' impegnata, arriva l'estate e qui diventa tutto più complicato... ci sono tante cose da fare, il giardino a cui badare (vi farò vedere presto le novità) e iniziano ad arrivare visite...

I leave here a few words to say that I'm here!

These days I'm quite busy, summer is at the doors and everything is going to be more complicated... there are plenty of things to do, the garden to cure (I'll show soon the news) and some visitors are just arriving...

Spero di trovare il tempo per scrivere, sempre che voi siate ancora lì a leggere... o... andate al mare anche voi? Beh, con questo caldo è sicuramente preferibile passare le giornate all'aperto che davanti al computer.

I hope to find the time to write, even that you are still reading there... or... are you going to the seaside? Well, with this hot weather it's surely better to spend the time outdoor than in front of the pc.

Ma se proprio proprio siete pigri allora vi lascio con un link che vi darà la possibilità di sfogliare l'album con le foto del fine settimana trascorso a Narni, come vi avevo promesso.

E, per finire, sempre da Narni vi lascio due foto: un bidone della raccolta differenziata porta a porta, per testimoniare che, sia pure con difficoltà durante i giorni di festa, qualcuno si impegnava e una mia foto ritratta allo stadio comunale, dove si è tenuta la Corsa all'Anello... non badate alla bandierona di uno dei nostri avversari, ma focalizzate l'attenzione sugli oggetti che ho in mano: un bicchiere tascabile e riutilizzabile e una bella borraccia con acqua fresca dell'acquedotto narnese! Niente bottigliette e bicchieri di plastica, come promesso! Visto? ;)

And, at last, even from Narni I leave you a pair of photos: a brown bin for doorstep recycling, to prove that, even in those days of feast, someone was attempting at it, and then a photo of me, at the municipal stadium, where the Corsa all'Anello tournament was happening...

don't look at the big flag of one of our rivals behind me, just focus on the objects in my hands: a reusable pocket cup and a nice reusable bottle with fresh water of the aqueduct of Narni! No disposable plastic cups and bottles, as I promised! Did you see? ;)

Il trascorso weekend / Last weekend

Rieccomi qui, dopo un fine settimana passato in Umbria, a Narni, a celebrare la fantastica rievocazione storica e la famosa Corsa all’Anello. Sono stati due giorni di divertimento con i nostri cari amici e anche di un pizzico di nostalgia per le vittorie passate del terziere per cui ormai tifiamo. Questa volta non è andata come doveva, ma le gare sono state fantastiche e ci siamo divertiti molto in ogni caso. Salutiamo perciò con affetto i nostri amici narnesi ringraziandoli della loro, ormai proverbiale, ospitalità… ci vedremo presto! Promesso! ;)
Here I am after a weekend spent in Umbria, in Narni, celebrating the fantastic historical feast and the famous ‘Corsa all’Anello”. There have been two days of fun with our dear friends and even a hint of nostalgia for the past victories of the city quarter of which we are fans. This time it wasn’t as we expected, but the races were fantastic and we had a lot of fun in any case. So we affectionately say goodbye to our friends of Narni, thanking them for the, now proverbial, hospitality... we will see you soon! It’s a promise! ;)

Nel frattempo ho notato che molti di voi sono tornati da queste parti a commentare! Mi fa molto piacere e voglio ringraziarvi tutti della vostra presenza, nonché per aver apportato notizie e suggerimenti molto utili. In particolare voglio ringraziare il sig. Roberto per la sua grande disponibilità nel chiarire e commentare sui distributori di latte: è raro vedere un produttore così disposto a dialogare con i consumatori per difendere l’onestà e la genuinità del proprio lavoro!
Grazie ancora! Speriamo che le nostre parole servano soprattutto a quelle persone che ancora nutrono dei dubbi sulla bontà del latte crudo e sull’utilità dei distributori!
In the meantime I noticed that many of you are back here to comment! I am very pleased and I want to thank you all for your presence and for giving very useful news and tips. In particular I want to thank Mr. Roberto for his willingness to clarify and commenting on milk distributors: it is rare to see a producer as well prepared to dialogue with consumers to defend the honesty and genuineness of his work!
Thanks again! We hope that our words will serve primarily to those persons who still have doubts about the goodness of raw milk and the environmental value of distributors!

E infine, se qualcuno avesse fatto una capatina a Riccione per visitare Ecomia e il banchetto di “Sartaperfetta” di Mani Tese, sarei felice di ospitare un vostro commento o articolo a riguardo. Sono molto curiosa di sapere com’è andata!

'Sartaperfetta' in ECOMIA - Riccione, 10 Mag. 09

Vi ricordate 'ECOMIA', l'evento di cui ho parlato lo scorso settembre e di cui sono rimasta molto entusiasta?
Bene, domenica prossima a Riccione, presso il Castello degli Agolanti, in Via Caprera, dalle 10 del mattino alle 18, si terrà l'assaggio primaverile di questa fantastica kermesse.
E indovinate chi tornerà a fare la sua apparizione? Ovviamente l'associazione Mani Tese, col suo fantastico banchetto di 'Sartaperfetta': troverete scampoli di stoffa, merletti, passamanerie, bottoni, fili da ricamo e da cucito, il tutto praticamente nuovo! Potrete portare a casa il vostro bottino delle meraviglie con pochi euro che a Mani Tese serviranno per finanziare i progetti per lo sviluppo di alcune aree africane, mentre voi potrete sbizzarrirvi in fantastiche creazioni di maglieria, sartoria e ricamo.
Io, lo sapete, non ci sarò, ma per chi è qui in zona consiglio di non lasciarsi sfuggire l'occasione! ;)

Do you remember 'ECOMIA', the event I mentioned last September, for which I was very enthusiastic?
Well, next Sunday at Riccione, near the Castle of Agolanti, Via Caprera, from 10 am to 18 pm, there will be held a spring taste of this fantastic event.
And guess... who will make its appearance? Obviously the association Mani Tese, with his great bench of 'The Perfect Seamtress'. You will find remnants of fabric, lace, trimmings, buttons, embroidery and sewing threads, all practically new! You can take home your wonderful loot with few euros that Mani Tese will use to finance development projects in some areas of Africa, and you can enjoy in working for fantastic creations of knitting, tailoring and embroidery.
You know, I cant' be there, but for those who are in that area don't miss this opportunity! ;)
