Da oggi niente più 3D per me / No more 3D for me since now

Così tutti questi occhiali dove andranno a finire dopo l’uso? In discarica o negli inceneritori!
Aaaaaaarghhhhhh!

Hi everybody, sorry for my long absence.
I’ll come back early on these screens with brand new blog posts, but today I can’t avoid to write about a topic that came on TV news today.
Two blog posts ago I wrote about 3D glasses. I underlined the necessity that 3D glasses have to be reuse after a previous sterilization, this to avoid a huge amount of waste.
But… what did I hear?
The health Minister forbids the use of 3D glasses for children under 6 years and obliges people to use disposable and packed 3D glasses!
On the contrary, in my honest opinion, he had to oblige the 3D movie theatres to practise the sterilization of glasses and not people to use a new packed pair of glasses each time!
So where will all these 3D glasses go after use? In landfills or incinerators.
Aaaarghhhhhhhh!
And we are the first country to adopt this totally polluting solution! Well!
What to say? I’m very disappointed. And from tomorrow I won’t go to see another 3D movie anymore.

As you saw on the links I posted, it was the Codacons to address the healt Minister to this choice. The Codacons manage the consumers associations, so why don't write a mail to show our doubts? There are consumers and consumers!

SOS Recycle: occhiali 3D / 3D glasses

Seeing that in the previous post I spoke about 3D movies, I profit to shed light on a request from Caty, of lacasasull’albero blog:
“… Where to recycle 3D glasses that you need to buy and take home? And, above all, why to oblige everyone to buy a pair each movie you go to see, creating much more waste?”
The questions are more than proper, dear Caty!

After Watching Avatar 3D, glasses into recycle box. (via CanadaPenguin)

To say the truth, I can’t add nothing new on the topic, but only say that the new generation 3D glasses – not those ones in carton and coloured filters we used far ago – aren’t recyclable, because lens and frame are made by different plastics which aren’t recyclable.
So I can close the blog post here, being sorry for Caty, but on the contrary I want to focus on the problem she underlined.

As regards the 3D movie screenings there are many technologies. According to the different kind of 3D film, each projected in a different way, the kind of 3D glasses to wear changes. So you can have a pair of Dolby 3D glasses or a circularly polarized glasses, as the Real 3D ones, that many of you used recently. Than there are many other kinds, more complicated. If you want to know more have a read on the web.

Now, it seems that in Italy last projections are based on the two systems I quoted and it seems that as for the Dolby 3D the glasses are only rented to the audience, with a surplus on the ticket price, those Real 3D ones are sold a part from the ticket and left to the audience at the end of the movie.

I think that I had the first kind of glasses during the Avatar projection, so in theory, at the end of the movie, my glasses were collected with others and I hope that they were sterilized at UV lamp, in order to be reused for the next projection.
As regards Caty, I think that she used the second type of glasses, that are sold in a transparent plastic sachet. But why to buy them?
This is avoided abroad, as you can read here at the links I posted.
Gli occhialetti in questione all’estero vengono “riciclati” o meglio riusati.
In the other countries 3D glasses are “recycled” or better reused. This means that they are collected in boxes at the exit of the theatre and are cleaned and checked as I said, in order to be reused.

But we Italians like to be distinguished from the others.
And do you know why? Aren’t we too much hooked with pathologies and absolute hygiene? Of course, none wants to wear a dirt pair of glasses on his nose. But if they are sterilized, where’s the problem?
Give a look yourself about we are hooked with diseases: whatever is the search engine, try to search the words “riciclare occhiali 3D” (in Italian). After that, try to search the words “recycle 3D glasses” in English. So, in the first case you will see a list of Italian articles about the expected diseases that a pair of 3D glasses could transmit from a person to another. In the second case, you will find articles where the main topic is the real environmental impact the disposable 3D glasses can have.

Don’t you think that we are exaggerating?
Italy is a country where the disposable objects are too much diffuse ad where recycle, reuse and the use of bulk product find hard to take off. This because we are literally obsessed by pathologies. But it could be enough to pay more attention and behave honestly, observing rules, to avoid that our hygiene mania turn back as a boomerang on our health!

Buona visione 3D a tutti! ;)
Let’s think about it and, if we are newly going to the cinema, let’s read infos on the websites, on what is the kind of projection, what the 3D glasses, finding if a reuse is possible. Probably in other theatres it is allowed to take you own 3D glasses you previously bought, after having checked that the technology is the same.
And if you are forced to buy them, assert yourself and show that we aren’t spendthrift people which are hygiene maniacs!
Enjoy your 3D vision everybody! ;)

Guardando “blu” attraverso un paio di occhialetti 3D / Seeing “blue” through a pair of 3D lens…

I love the fantasy genre, I love high tech movies, I love the stories that move you in the deep of your soul. And all these things made me go to watch… Avatar.
I don’t like the crowd in cinemas when a movie is too much famous, I don’t like the gunfire movies, I don’t like the “American” kind of film. And all these things made me go to watch Avatar with a very prejudiced mood.

After having read many favourable reviews and comments about the movie, I couldn’t wait to see it. We went no less than two times in the only multiplex of the city before finding a show with seats not in the first line.
Before doing the last attempt, I found on the internet the movie trailer to ensure myself that it was really worth to go… but I wasn’t so enthusiastic. If I previously didn't read anything about the movie, probably I wouldn’t have done the effort to go for the third time in a shopping centre and wait for no less than 5 hours before being in a seat with a pair of 3D glasses.

Ma… ne è valsa la pena.
But… it was worth.

I don’t want to add redundant comments to all what was said on the movie.
I just want to say that it is impressive from a digital graphic point of view – I was a bit disappointed by the view that was disturbed by an inappropriate screen and uncomfortable 3D glasses –.
The built scenery and shots are more than marvellous. Spectacular and exciting views on a world that, even a bit similar to ours, is strongly inspired to it.
If animals have a Jurassic look, the fantastic flora is built in a real symmetry with rules of our nature. To add, the breathtaking landscapes – that you can imagine as a different evolution of our planet – have a strange geology, given by different physical laws.

Even not having a very original plot, the story of Avatar has the right ingredients for a fantasy that isn’t too metaphysical and far from reality. On the contrary, it is clear that it has been conceived as the projection in the future, and in another planet, of what is happened – or still happens everyday in our Earth – far from our eyes.

In fact, as you imagine, what convinced me to go to watch the movie was the loud green message that is at the base of the story: the defence of the planet and its living beings. A praise goes to all the creators that showed this reality in a way never done before.
All had– and will also have – the chance to watch
Avatar. I’ve seen queues of teens, kids with parents, girls in shopping mood and also old people.
Did the message arrive in everyone’s head?

I have some doubt alas!
In my own opinion, everything was too much stuffed with guerrilla, weapons and improbable situations typical of American movies (is it not a case if the director is the same of Terminator), where the wicked resists until the last breath, to achieve his aim.
I fear that the green message is lost in the usual fight between good and evil.

Some laughs in the audience made me thinking that. People laugh at seeing natives dressed with few clothes, or seeing their rituals or laugh at the strange and sudden metamorphosis of an animal.
So I think to our history, when the human foot is got off new shores and unknown lands. I think to the African tribes, to the Amazonian Forest, to the Indian reservations. I think how poor we are.
We are always the same. We are wretched. The “different one” makes us laugh as if our reality is the best and the more sane.
Facing the new we think that it’s better to “take samples”, staying at distance, coldly analysing and ending to envy and hanker every richness we find, distorting it.
Our senses are asleep, our eyes are closed. We don’t appreciate and misunderstand energy and life that our planet gives us under different shapes.

Going out from the cinema, many felt relief. Me for the heat and the tiredness to wait and be sat , many for the happy end that came before many dramatic surprises. But the most, I believe, were relief saying “it’s only a movie”.

Invece, guardiamoci attorno.
But let’s see all around us. We are destroying our Earth. We are chopping down every green centimetre we see toward us, to build, to exploit the soil. We don’t set up a feeling with the living beings we find in our habitats. We have to touch and uproot every particular thing we find. And when we are in front of a different culture we behave in a ridiculous and irreverent way.

To sum up Avatar is a movie that is worth to be seen. And many times too, to catch every detail of the human facets that here are put in front of us as in a mirror… and also to think about it.
Each of us can discover his “avatar”, not another aspect of our person that behaves in a different and separate way. Our “avatar” can be the deepest part of our being, the most sensible and instinctive, the part that has still roots in the environment in which we live.
With the hope that this “avatar” could prevail on the bad aspects of our way to be “human”.

Oggi parliamo di… libri e DVD / Today let’s speak about… books and DVDs

We are in full Christmas season and perhaps you’ll be intent in searching for some books or DVDs to give as gift.
One as me, who loves environment, should not praise the use of printed paper, or the purchase of DVDs or CDs. Paper and digital editions have a huge environmental impact for both production processes and disposal of raw materials.

But who imagines a world without books? Who wants to refuse to watch a movie comfortably sit in a sofa at home? Well, I myself wish that our habits will change, even if then I should find another greener job. ;)

Anyway it is worth to spend our money for books and DVDs with an interesting an educational content, as well as simply pleasant. They are also long lasting objects and they can be easily exchanged with other people who can understand the same messages.
Some of these messages are often cut away from the great market of movies and books.

At proposal, I want to show you a documentary recently published from MacroVideo, a publisher that focus many books about the ecological dimension. This book was suggested to me from the same editor.

Let’s talk about “The Power of Community”, a movie which tells on the “extraordinary efforts and tenacity of a people that was the first to experiment the lack of oil in all its faces”. The scenery is Cuba, where, after the energetic crisis in the ’90s, people decided to avoid the risk to have heavy consequences for food and society, bravely changing their lifestyle.

“Thanks to co-operation, saving money, reuse, preservation and community spirit, Cuba reduced to the minimum the energy consumes, renouncing to some comforts and waste typical of our time. The movie shows a real example of how it is possible to reduce consumes and energy waste, turning back to a rhythm of life and work in the respect for natural cycles. I shows also how to change from an intensive farming and industrial production, with the use of oil derivates, to a growing and creation of organic farms, urban allotments and industries with a lower energetic impact”.

Surely this documentary, together with the reading of the enclosed booklet, gives very important foods for thoughts, good in a moment like this, in our own reality with an uncertain future. It is a positive message, as you can imagine from the key-phrase suggested from the movie:

“Do what you can, with what you have, with whom you are and where you are”

The authors of the documentary, Faith Morgan, Pat Murphy and Megan Quinn Bachmann, are part of the Arthur Morgan Institute for Community Solutions, a no-profit organisation founded in 1940, which promotes co-operation, sustainability and use of alternative energy sources.

I link for you the file in the Macro Publishing website, where you can discover other details and watch a preview of the movie.

I think that I can surely put it on the virtual wishing list I’ve just inaugurated on my page on the aNobii website.

When I’ll have the possibility to watch “The Power of Community” and read the written contents, I’ll let you know my impressions. So I wish you to have a good vision, in the case you’ll watch it before me. In the meantime, please be careful to consume, especially on these days and times! ;)

P.s.: un ringraziamento particolare a Giulia Cavalieri per le informazioni e i materiali sul documentario / a special thank you to Giulia Cavalieri for infos and materials on the documentary

Settimana Zero Rifiuti: Giorno Due / Zero Waste Week: Day Two

Day two has passed. And the home bin for the not recyclable waste is still empty!
This rainy and cold day is ended and it wasn't happened anything particular. Both we two, Irish and me, were committed with work, during the week. The only moment we spend together are lunch and dinner. In fact, is here that we can find some problems for our challenge in not-making waste.

Really the risk is behind the corner: in the fridge, in a remote angle of the cheese box, a piece of emmental rests since a pair of weeks. Unfortunately it is wrapped in a plastic film, as they usually pack in the supermarket. Today we noticed that the cheese is taking a strange color on the surface... so next days we have to consume it... what to do with the plastic film?
I suppose it isn't recyclable, someone could confirm it? Do you know what kind of plastic the film is? Maybe I must ring to the Coop? And what about try to wash it and reuse at least a second time?
Mmmhhh what a issue!

There is another issue but we solved it a long time ago. But it is worth to mention: artichokes in oil. Good, you would say! Yes, Irish is very fond of them and today we finished another jar. But do you know how we solve the problem of the remnant oil at the bottom of the jar? Well, I heat oil in a little pot, with the lid partially open, so as the vinegar, mixed to oil, evaporate. In the meantime I open widely windows for making circulate air, and when oil stops to fry, I wait until it is cold and then filter it into a bottle I will take to the HWRC. Then I use a paper tissue to absorb oil from the pot and the jar and then throw it in the humid fraction of waste – rules admit a little quantity of oil –. So it's zero waste and oil will be recicled from the oil consortium.

These are the two aneddotes of the day. For the rest, you can see, the usual kitchen waste. Ah this time humid box will be full very soon... it is rainy again and i don't want to go out to the compost bin. Mrs. A. seems to have the same problem, but she has just solved!

The very last suggestion is a movie. If you have the chance go to watch "Recipes for disaster", a Finnic documentary. We saw it yesterday, the last evening of AmbienteFestival, and I must say that it was very appropriate for our callenge: it's about a family decides to front a challenge along a year, how to not depend from oil. Very ironic and moving sometimes, it describes the troubles and the joys taht a couple with two kids live day after day. It's beautiful and almost romantic!
While we were watching the movie Irish took my hand and tightened it... a very sweet gesture that made me understand that he share and accept for love the challenge of these days! :)

Not Stupid!

It has a certain effect to know that I was among the thousand or million persons who last Tuesday have the possibility to see the global premiere of “The Age of Stupid” movie.
It has a certain effect to go in a little arts cinema in the own city, seeing a not much advertised movie, addressed to a certain public and, on the contrary, finding a hall full of people.
It has a certain effect to watch a movie that is showing on the widescreen our story… seen within almost forty years.

It is not the first time that I watch a documentary movie which talks about environment, in a film club. It happened also to me with the movies “Biutiful Cauntri”, “The Planet” and “An Inconvenient Thruth”.
When you go to see a movie like these, you go there prepared, because you know yet that it will talk about something serious, something real and there won’t be a happy end, a tear of emotion or a series of belly laughs. You often go embitter, defeated out of there.
Many people for this avoid to go watching these kinds of movie, often with the alibi: “At least you go to the cinema for fun”!

But I say that a bit of sense of ‘sense-harm’ in these cases is worth, so, wearing a good ‘armour’ as I thought “I’m doing yet something good for environment’, I decided again to go watching a film like this.
To say the truth, it was my blogger friend Almost Mrs. Average to give me the curiosity, with
her announcement in her blog when she went to watch the movie preview in London last March. Mrs. A. is a very sunny and cheerful person and anyway she went out from the preview very enthusiast.
So, when I knew the news of the world preview from TV (strange!), and I knew also that I could have the opportunity to see it in my city, I was very happy, yet unconscious of what really I was going to see…

It was a great event, perhaps the biggest that it is happened ‘till now, for the presentation of a movie. Lots of cities around the world, connected via satellite, could see the movie at the same time, highly reducing the impact of greenhouse gases typical of a normal movie distribution. And it was not only the movie, but all the other things that were around.
Around the world, groups of activist (Greenpeace, WWF) protested at the same time of the event. There were concerts of various kind (also at zero impact) all night long, and then interviews to all stars (which we couldn’t listen to, due to technical problems) and the most impressive thing was to see all people participating, also simply wondering people who wanted to join to such a big celebration for the waking up of awareness.
We were celebrating with them too in the little hall of the cinema Tiberio in Rimini, joining to all that people who were sing a chorus of rage and, at the same time, of encouragement to fight against climate changes, pollution and destruction of our planet!
Hoping that all this pressure by media could be useful for shaking the politicians of all the world who, involved these days in several meetings, will meet also within three month in Copenhagen for the conference about the Kyoto protocol.

Apart from this, which is exciting only in perceiving it live, there is the message of this movie that shakes and makes you be anger, it is something that can’t leave you unconcerned.
“The Age of Stupid” is not properly a space age or surreal description of what could happen within forty years, as I thought and as some initial frames could leave imagine. But it is a succession of videos cleverly mixed in a plot by a Pete Postlethwaite – we’ve yet seen in “In the Name of the Father” – who surely doesn’t act but shows himself in real and hard expressions, reporting the message of the author of the movie, Fanny Armstrong. So it is a series of images that are familiar to us, things that are really happened, things that are happening and have a very thin bond among them, things that, seen from a different view, make us reflect. They are stories of characters that, in different part of the world, are running to survive, to protect their environment or searching for wellness and they think they are doing the right thing, but are unaware of the consequences of their action at a higher level.

“It’s strange, watching these film fragments. It’s like looking through binoculars observing people on a far off beach. Running around in circles, fixated on the small area of sand beneath their feet, as a tsunami races towards them”.

Between a story and another, in more shots, little animated breaks follow, with a very essential and incisive communication. In these animated shots the story becomes visual, as when, for example, it shows our daily actions, blurt out in a series of absurdities that we aren’t able to catch from inside.
So all boils down to us, to our yearning of energy, to our lack of communication, to our fault of not knowing, not being able or not wanting to see our future. What we don’t absolutely want to understand is that what is in danger is not ‘environment’ but us, the human beings, the one that will be able to self-extinguish, if we go on in this way.
A huge dilemma haunts the narrator: if we were able to stop these foolish acts, why didn’t we?
Here’s the main message: we have so few time to stop this madness!
As statistics say, after 2015 we won’t be able to correct our mistakes anymore, if we don’t start by now!

Allora cosa stiamo aspettando? Io non voglio essere stupida… voi?
So what are we waiting for? I don’t want to be stupid… and you?

A little bit of WALL•E in all of us wouldn’t go amiss!

I am not one of those people who move to tears easily watching a movie, yet, since from the beginning, every time I have seen the trailers of this fantastic movie WALL•E, heartache and a knot in my throat took me irreversibly.
It’s strange to move by a little robot, which is very well drawn and animated by computer graphics!

But the authors, designers, musicians and animators of this movie – which this year won the Oscar for the best-animated film – have clearly exceeded themselves.
And while through the trailer you sense the beautiful love story between WALL•E and EVE and the background of a world deeply marked and transformed by man, looking at the movie you live throughout the enthralling story with a strange and deep sense of belonging to that future, with questions that bombard your mind like: “Shell we really reduce in that way?” and “Will really technology help us?” and “Could we really start then from scratch?”...

And even children – for which, however, at the end of the movie, it is clear that the pill has been sugared – watching the movie, feel an initial sense of discomfort. Time ago, during the screening, I was sitting next to a couple’s child: after laughter guaranteed by the short movie ‘Presto’, since the first few minutes that child started to ask questions to their parents, who obviously didn’t know what to say and tried to reduce him to silence, poor. The child after seeking in vain to return home fell asleep... what a pity! Missed opportunity for those parents to cause in their son love and compassion for the Earth!

But what of this story is so shocking? I thought and in the end I concluded that it is so well done, so realistic, that this disturbs us tremendously. We are disturbed watching, through a telescope pointed at the incredible future, at where we are arriving, accumulating unnecessary things, throwing it all away, leaving our waste and hoping that someone will solve the problem for us.

So WALL•E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class), alone, in his boundless world of waste, moves a part of us that lives in this world with naive eyes, thinking that the objects with which we surround are harmless games. Yet that part of us becomes utterly aware and understands the value of those objects that have always a so short life. So a still working lighter can turn our dreams on, a sheet of bubble wrap can be a pleasant pastime, a lid can be a funny hats, an old tape can revive forgotten emotions and an old boot can host a small seemingly insignificant life form.

Beyond the love story, moving and sometimes ironic about feelings and differences between the two adventure partner, beyond the fun chase of the characteristic figures of history, beyond amazing sound effects and visual details that recall that the first steps in technology and back us to present, beyond a very intriguing soundtrack, what especially emerges is the main message that makes this history unique: our planet Earth is one and irreproducible and you must love and protect at all costs because it is our future and that one of coming generations, and it’s not so far as it seems.

Inside of me there is a bit of WALL•E, living all days trying to recover what is possible. I’m sometimes naive and stubborn as him. In many boxes I keep, there are items that may have a second use... I accumulate them and then wait something or someone awakening my imagination and telling me what to do wit them. I continually put order into my life, I would bring order to the world too, but by myself it seems to me so difficult and almost impossible. Fortunately I have closely my loved mate who shares my feelings. Perhaps together we succeed in any undertaking and then fortunately we’ll find friends like so many mad friends of WALL•E, with which we will return on the right road ... the road back to Earth!

Da ricordare… / To remember…

Since the beginning of the month, some events have quickly happened that had to be absolutely ‘photographed’ and mentioned unfortunately all together here, because time is always short.

Cominciamo dall’ultimo.
We start from the last one.

Yesterday was a very special day, my 36th birthday, and at same time, the first day of presidency of Barack Obama in the United States of America.
A historic day. There were celebrations all over the world, symptom that something is changing.
I was thrilled to see that people are changing their way of thinking in relation to solidarity among peoples, to justice, to exploitation of resources of the planet and to attention towards environment.
I hope that this change could spread to every country in the world, until getting here in Italy, where we are too sleepy and resigned to worse.

Joy and hope have been the first gifts received by the word exchange on the web.
The rest of the day was a succession of smiles, greetings, positive comments ... I wish that every day could be this way!
Happiness was then extended by the beautiful ‘green’ gift of my companion, who now understands and shares my love for nature: a green gift in the true sense of the term, a magnificent fuchsia and white orchids plant in its earthenware vase decorated with ribbons and veil that certainly I can reuse.
Inspired by the desire to do holiday I made biscuits. Then the evening ended in a dinner outside in a small delicious inn. So we toasted to this day to remember.

Returning back this week there were other things worth noting.

Last Monday we learned something new and amazing: the doorstep recycling collection is extended to the waterfront districts of Rimini! Soon we will have a kit for waste differentiation, to achieve the recycling objective by 40% in the new year (and we hope to surpass it!).

Last Tuesday we were at the projection of a beautiful documentary movie, “The Planet”, scheduled for the event “Ecomondo in town”. In short, we have witnessed a masterpiece that won last Torino movie festival dedicated to environment. A storm of images cleverly mounted on a special music, created ad hoc, alternating speeches by many important scientific and literary people in the world including the notorious Lester Brown. An excellent opportunity to reflect, but at the same a call to mobilize to stop the dripping of this our single Planet.

Even before the weekend I have been taken by the desire to do something homemade.
So I prepared the dough for biscuits with flakes chocolate, which I offered yesterday.
I also dedicated to a work that was in my mind for some time: two scented candles, reusing the old wax of candle which wick had been consumed.
Melted wax in a pan – which now is used only do this –, I mixed a few drops of essential oil of Melissa I bought time ago, and then I paid the wax in two glass containers, previously prepared with a new wick, a chipped glass and a container of tomato sauce. The glass remains to complement candle instead the bottle was broken in a paper cabinet - and then properly recycled - to leave the candle.

Prossimamente ne racconterò i progressi.
During the same weekend we started to composting! Located in the garden place we decided, we prepared a bottom layer of branches and dry leaves, then we superimposed soil, brown paper cut into pieces and the first layer of wet kitchen waste, including Halloween pumpkin, made small pieces. So we started our adventure into the world of home composting. Soon I'll tell the progresses.

So we expect to go on Saturday to visit Ecomondo. Meanwhile today even the TV-journal of RAI 1 has spoken about the fair... then it means that something is really changing!

Thus, in a few days, this first week of November will end in a emotional turbine, bringing back memories and nurturing new hopes...

Come ne “La Volpe e la Bambina” / As in “The Fox and The Child”

Sometimes I think the relationship I have with nature, particularly so deep and someone might say so "exaggerated" ...

I like contact with the green, walking on grass, feel the scent of earth, observe the flowers in their tiny and precise details, embrace the trees, imagine them in real beings. The view of most animals makes me move and I surprise all moving, sound or unexpected sight they make. I hold my breath in front of the spectacular views of valleys, waterfalls and pristine bays, but also just watching the nuances of the sky, the games of the sea, movement that the wind creates, the flash of fire, the starry sky in the total dark.

Tante persone, ancora troppe.
I know there are, like me, many people who experience the same feelings and people who feel even more and make for animals and nature, but there are also, unfortunately, less sensitive people, which remain indifferent in front of what the Earth shows us and people who even prove taste in killing animals and polluting the environment. Many people, still too many.

So if you have a child and fear he/she is losing the sense of belonging to this extraordinary planet, or if you yourself don’t prove more these emotions since a long time, try to see the film “The Fox and The Child”. You’ll remain fascinated and amazed by many things.

A girl lives with his family in a valley in the mountains and woods and enjoys a world in the midst of nature, scrutinizing everything and adventuring in the middle of the woods, in pursuit of animals. So she knows a fox and follows and follows her until it becomes her friend. She lives so in tune with this unpredictable and intelligent animal and almost she becomes at least fox herself with her ruffled reddish hair...
She exceeds some fears that seem insurmountable and her love for the fox makes overcome loneliness and sadness. As long as the human instinct to do everything own property dominates her and when the fox tries to make know her world she tries to do the same thing with the animal, but in a so sudden and reckless way, as it is often inherent in our being.
In the end, the child discovers the great gap between human nature and animal being and she understands that this must include respect know, up in basically, at the cost of losing what could seem a true friendship!

The film – which direction is by Luc Jacquet – is delicate and lively at the same time and the breathtaking scenery is around the corner: it was entirely shot in the Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo (Abruzzo, Italy)!
How can we realize that nature is not only in our dreams, in photos of a book, in the frames of a film? It may be close to us, in the park of our city, in the woods behind the hill, in the home garden, in our region... just be a little naive, wondering, observing through the eyes of a child.
So respect it and protect it as if it was our true friend.
This the film recalled to me!

“Into The Wild”

Ingresso gratuito.

Sono stati già proiettati i due film: “Into The Wild” e “Una Scomoda Verità”.

Buona visione!
