Ecoblogger... il ritorno! / Ecobologgers... are coming back!

Più volte mi sono sentita dire che i blog sono stati eclissati – per rimanere in tema con la recente eclissi – dai social network. Eppure, secondo me, non è così vero!
Nonostante i commenti scarseggino, c'è sempre qualcuno che legge i blog! Anzi, gli stessi social network si sono trasformati in veicolo di condivisione e i blog sono diventati sempre più strumento di approfondimento.

Per esempio, ultimamente non si può negare che soprattutto i "foodblogger" si siano moltiplicati in modo incontrollabile.  
Ma gli ecoblogger che fine hanno fatto??? Noi ci siamo ancora e stiamo continuando a cambiare il mondo – un pizzico di autostima ogni tanto ci vuole –!!!

Prova ne ho avuta, durante questa settimana con l'intervista che vi ho annunciato nel post precedente.
Sono stata contattata dalla giornalista Viviana Tanzariello – che colgo l'opportunità di ringraziare ancora – per Radio Elle/Canale 7 Puglia, proprio per raccontare la mia esperienza da ecoblogger!
Davvero non me lo sarei aspettato, visto che non scrivo più al ritmo di un tempo. Eppure il mio messaggio continua ad arrivare ovunque e di questo ne sono felicissima!

L'esperienza radiofonica mi ha messo inizialmente in agitazione – ricordavo ancora l'emozione dell'intervista per la trasmissione "Impatto Ambientale" sulla tv romagnola Icaro –, ma con Viviana, speaker del programma, si è instaurato subito un bel dialogo e mi ha fatto sentire a casa – quale posto migliore di una radio pugliese? –.  Abbiamo parlato delle origini del blog, della mia settimana a zero rifiuti, delle difficoltà nel fare la raccolta differenziata e dei consigli da proporre agli ascoltatori.
Alla fine i minuti non mi bastavano più, avrei voluto raccontare molte più cose ma i tempi erano ben precisi.
Spero che qualcuno mi abbia ascoltato e abbia fatto tesoro di ciò che ho raccontato. 
L'intervista si inseriva in una rubrica L'"Eco-Quiz Differenziamoci", svolta in collaborazione con la Regione Puglia, mirata a promuovere la consapevolezza dell'importanza della raccolta differenziata. Se avete modo, potete sempre seguire la trasmissione – anche in streaming – tutti i giorni dal lunedì al venerdì alle 11.05 su Radio Elle e Canale 7. Presto ci saranno altre interviste di "colleghi/e" ecoblogger che racconteranno la loro esperienza!

Non ho finito ancora di parlare a proposito di ecoblogger...

Lo scorso weekend sono stata a Fa' la cosa giusta 2015 a Milano. Ormai quasi tutti conoscete, la fiera nazionale del consumo critico e degli stili di vita sostenibili. Io mancavo lì dal 2011. È stato lì che ho incontrato per la prima volta gli ecoblogger Riccardo di Wutel.net e Lisa Casali di Ecocucina!

Così anche in quest'ultima edizione ho avuto nuovamente il piacere di incontrarli. Riccardo è ormai un amico, dopo che si è prestato a raggiungermi in Romagna per trasformare abilmente la mia bici in e-bike; ora lavora a tempo pieno nel campo del risparmio energetico e si districa fra kit per il fotovoltaico, domotica ecologica e nuovissimi sistemi di illuminazione a LED!

Sono, poi, riuscita a salutare la sempre super-attivissima Lisa, che nel frattempo ha scritto diversi libri ed è divenuta super-richiesta da canali televisivi e testate giornalistiche per la sua capacità ineguagliabile di saper trasformare gli scarti di cibo in piatti da gourmet. Anche stavolta ha tenuto uno showcooking sull'essiccazione degli scarti di cucina che è stato seguito non da me, in quel momento impegnata per lavoro, ma dal mio compagno, lo chef di casa. Alla fine della dimostrazione si è fermata ad autografarci con dedica il suo libro Ecocucina che ritengo il più completo e utile fra i suoi scritti. È stata molto gentile e si è ricordata anche di me che la seguo e la cito da anni sul Dandaworld blog.

A questi due incontri fantastici devo aggiungere l'incontro con nuove ecoblogger.

Nell'ambito della conferenza sulla cosmesi ecologica che ho seguito a metà giornata, durante il sabato, ho conosciuto innanzitutto la bravissima relatrice Nadia Tadioli, che sul suo blog Diario ecoBeauty è sempre attenta a captare le novità nel campo della bio-ecocosmesi, esplorandole a fondo tramite le sue conoscenze tecniche nel settore, anche attraverso un punto di vista positivamente critico e piacevole da leggere. Trovate gli aggiornamenti su di lei nel mio blogroll.

Sempre durante lo stesso sabato – purtroppo l'unico giorno della mia visita a Fa' la cosa giusta – ho avuto modo di assistere ai laboratori di Neli, foodblogger del Neli's Raw Food, che ha presentato due ricette di cucina crudista con semplici ingredienti ma con tecniche di grande effetto. Piatti veloci e facili da realizzare per chi ama ottenere il massimo dalla verdura in termini di energia e proprietà nutrizionali. E garantisco che il gusto c'era tutto!

Dulcis in fundo, ancora due ecoblogger in gamba, che hanno tenuto più di un laboratorio su detergenza e cosmesi fai da te: Marta Albè e Francesca Piccoletti, redattrici di GreenMe autrici rispettivamente dei libri "La mia casa ecopulita" e "Questo lo faccio io!", entrambi editi da Feltrinelli/Gribaudo e con una grafica davvero simpatica e ben fatta. In realtà dei laboratori che volevamo seguire siamo riusciti a seguirne solo uno, quello di Francesca sulla cosmesi fai-da-te per lui e per lei, ma Marta le ha fatto da spalla, così abbiamo avuto modo di conoscerle entrambe. Abbiamo assistito a come fare degli ottimi scrub per il viso e per il corpo e un dopobarba in poco tempo, con ingredienti naturali facilmente reperibili.

Peccato, poi, non aver potuto assistere ai workshop del giorno dopo con Kia di Equo, eco e vegan che sta ampliando il suo ventaglio di proposte per ridurre sempre di più la propria impronta ecologica.

Insomma, che dire, altro che eclissi! Gli ecoblogger sono vivi e vegeti!
Io che dal 2007 scrivo su questo blog e non mi sono stancata ancora di parlare di me e di ecologia, sono davvero felice e soddisfatta, perché qualcosa nel mio piccolo sono riuscita a fare e oggi si parla di ambiente sempre di più.
Restate sintonizzati perché presto, come promesso in radio, ci saranno nuovi argomenti per questo blog! Per il momento è tutto e buona giornata dell'acqua a tutti!!!


Many times I heard people say that blogs have been eclipsed –to stay on with the recent eclipse– from social networks. Yet, in my opinion, is not so true! Despite on one hand there is the lack of comments, on the other there is always also someone who reads the blog! Indeed, the same social networks have become a vehicle for sharing and blogs have become more and more an instrument of deepening. 
For example, lately you can't deny that especially "foodbloggers" are growing on uncontrollably.
But what happened to ecobloggers??? We are still here, continuing to change the world –yes, with a bit of self-esteem sometimes– !!!

I had the proof during this week with the interview I announced in the previous post.
I was contacted by the journalist Viviana Tanzariello – I take the opportunity to thank again– for Radio Elle / Channel 7 Puglia, just to tell my ecoblogger experience!
Really I couldn't believe it, because my posts are even more rare. So I am very happy that my message continues to get anywhere!

The radio experience made me initially anxious –I still remember the thrill of the interview for the program "Environmental Impact" on Icaro tv Romagna– but with Viviana –also speaker of the program– immediately established with me a good dialogue and made me to feel at home –what a better place than being on air in Puglia?–. We talked about the origins of the blog, my Zero Waste Week, the difficulties in recycling and then suggestions for the listeners. At the end, the minutes were not enough for me anymore, I wanted to tell many more things but the schedule was very precise.
I hope someone has listened to me and made the most of what I said.
The interview was part of a section, the "Eco-Quiz Differenziamoci", carried out in collaboration with the Puglia region, aimed at promoting awareness of the importance of recycling. If you can, follow the program –even in streaming– every day from Monday to Friday at 11.05 on  Radio Elle and Channel 7 (Italian language only). Soon there will be other interviews to "ecoblogger colleagues" who will talk about their experience!
I have not finished yet to talk about ecobloggers ...

Last weekend I went to Fa' La Cosa Giusta 2015 in Milan. All of you almost know the Italian fair of critical consumption and sustainable lifestyles. I was missing it since 2011. It was there that I met for the first time the ecobloggers Riccardo of Wutel.net blog and Lisa Casali of Ecocucina blog!

So even in this last edition I had the pleasure to meet them again. Riccardo is now a friend, after he came in Romagna to turn deftly my bike into e-bike; now he works full time in the industry of energy saving and unravels among photovoltaic kits, home automation systems, ecological and brand new LED lighting!

We were then able to greet the always very active Lisa, who has already written several books and has become super-request by television channels and newspapers for its incomparable ability to turn food scraps into gourmet meals. Again she held a showcooking about drying kitchen waste. I couldn't follow it for work, but my home-chef, my partner, did it. At the end of the demonstration she stopped to sign her book "Ecocucina" which I consider the most comprehensive and useful among her writings. She was very kind and also recognised me, following and quoting her from years on the Dandaworld blog.

I have to add the meeting with new ecobloggers after these two fantastic ones.

As part of the conference on ecological cosmetics I followed in mid-day during that Saturday, I met first the talented Nadia Tadioli lecturer, who on her EcoBeauty Diary blog is always careful to capture the news about organic and ecological cosmetics. Through her technical know-how in the field, she explore cosmetics, including her personal positively critical point of view, which is enjoyable to read. Find updates about her in my blogroll.

Also during the same Saturday –unfortunately the only day I was at Fa' la Cosa Giusta– I was able to attend the workshop of Neli, foodblogger of Neli's Raw Food, which presented two recipes of raw food with simple ingredients but with great effect techniques. Quick and easy meals to implement for those who like to get the most out of vegetables in terms of energy and nutritional properties. And I guarantee about the taste!

Last but not least, two more smart ecoblogger, who held more than a workshop of DIY detergents and cosmetics: Marta Albè and Francesca Piccoletti, editors of GreenMe, authors respectively of the books "La mia casa ecopulita" (tr. My Green-Clean House) and "Questo lo faccio io" (tr. I Do This Myself!), both published by Feltrinelli / Gribaudo and with a really nice and well done graphic design. Actually among all the workshops we were able to follow only one, that one of Francesca on do-it-yourself cosmetics for men and women, but Marta made her right-hand woman, so we got to know them both. We saw how to do some good scrubs for face and body and an aftershave in a short time, with easily available natural ingredients.

Then too bad not being able to attend the workshop of the next day with Kia of Equo, eco e vegan blog that is expanding its range of proposals to further reduce our ecological footprints.

Well, what to say, no eclipse! The ecoblogger are still alive and well! 
Writing this blog since 2007 and being not yet tired of talking about me and ecology, I'm really happy and satisfied, because something in my small way I did, and today we hear to talk about the environment more and more.

In questi giorni sono stata impegnata, assieme al mio compagno, in grossi lavori di manutenzione casa. Non della casetta di cui vi avevo parlato, ma la nostra abitazione, quella in cui ci siamo trasferiti 7 anni orsono.
Forse ve ne avevo già parlato qui e qui, ma abitiamo in una ex-casa delle vacanze vicinissima al mare. Questo avrà anche i suoi vantaggi, ma porta tutta una serie di inconvenienti che, al momento di trasferirci, non avevamo previsto.

These days I have been engaged, together with my partner, in large maintenance works for our house. Not the cottage of which I recently told you, but our house, the one where we moved seven years ago.
Perhaps I've already told you here and here, but we live in a former holiday home close to the sea. This would also have its advantages, but brings a whole host of problems that – at the time we moved – we didn't expect. 


Innanzitutto la casa è degli anni '70, ha muri poco spessi ma durissimi, tutto cemento. Un impianto di riscaldamento a caldaia indipendente, ma obsoleto. Aveva infissi in legno a un vetro solo. Conseguenza: il primo inverno passato qui era gelido!
Quindi il primo grosso miglioramento che abbiamo fatto è stata la sostituzione degli infissi con nuovi infissi di alluminio a taglio termico, usufruendo degli incentivi statali.
Il miglioramento dei consumi del gas per il riscaldamento si è avuto sin da subito e la differenza di temperatura, senza riscaldamento, fra l'interno e l'esterno si avverte sempre: quando fuori è caldo, dentro è fresco e viceversa.
First of all, the house is a '70s old one, it has walls a little thicker but very hard, all concrete. An independent but obsolete heating boiler. It had wooden window frames with a glass only. Consequence: the first winter spent here was totally cold!
So the first big improvement we made was the replacement of fixtures with new aluminum thermal break ones, taking advantage of money incentives by the government.
The improvement in gas consumption for heating was evident from the very beginning and the difference in temperature, no heating, between the inside and the outside is always felt. It is cool inside when it is hot outside and vice versa.

Ma questo lavoro non è stato del tutto risolutivo... Così l'autunno scorso abbiamo cambiato la caldaia con una a condensazione. Dobbiamo ancora fare il raffronto dettagliato fra vecchi consumi e nuovi, ma sicuramente abbiamo ulteriormente diminuito la spesa per il gas.
But this work has not been entirely conclusive... So last fall we changed the boiler with a condensing one. We still have to do the detailed comparison between old and new consumptions, but surely we have further reduced the spending on gas. 

Mentre però eravamo intenti ad evitare le dispersioni di temperatura, abbiamo peggiorato un piccolo problema che in questi anni è diventato molto più grande: l'umidità con la conseguenza della muffa. Fino a due settimane fa alcuni angoli dei nostri muri erano scrostati e anneriti, per non parlare degli armadi sempre umidi e delle volte che ho dovuto lavare (e in quache caso eliminare) gli indumenti con cattivo odore...
Alla fine abbiamo ceduto, stanchi di tutto questo, e abbiamo chiamato un'azienda specializzata che ci ha consigliato le iniezioni chimiche nel perimetro esterno della casa, per evitare l'umidità di risalita e il risanamento delle pareti interne attraverso prodotti specifici più imbiancatura con pittura a base di componenti ceramici, che eviteranno la condensa per via dell'escursione termica fra interno ed esterno.
But while we were intent on avoiding the loss of temperature, we have worsened a small problem becoming much larger in recent years: the moisture with the result of mold. Until two weeks ago some corners of our walls were chipped and blackened, not to mention the cabinets always wet and sometimes I had to wash (and sometimes throw away) our clothes that smelled bad ...
Eventually we sold, are tired of all this, and we called a specialized company that he recommended  chemicals injections into the outer perimeter of the house, to prevent rising damp and rehabilitation of the interior walls through specific products with painting based on ceramic components, which will prevent condensation due to thermal excursion between interior and exterior.

Insomma, dopo grandi scombussolamenti del nostro habitat e della nostra quotidianità, stiamo iniziando a vedere un po' di normalità, con la speranza che questi interventi abbiano la loro efficacia. Vi farò sapere...
Inoltre, abbiamo approfittato di questi lavori per: fare un po' di decluttering, portando abiti e oggetti inutilizzati al mercatino solidale, rimettere a nuovo i vecchi termosifoni in ghisa, mettere una cappa di aspirazione in cucina e soprattutto cambiare l'80% della nostra illuminazione con nuove lampade a LED (il restante 20% a breve)!
So, after the great upheavals of our habitat and our daily lives, we are starting to see a little of normality, with the hope that these works have their effectiveness. I will let you know ...
In addition, we took advantage of these jobs to: do decluttering, bringing clothes and unused items at the second hand charity shops, refurbish the old cast iron radiators, put an extractor fan in the kitchen and especially change 80% of our lighting with new LED lamps (the remaining 20% ​​coming soon)! 

I sacrifici economici e la stanchezza fisica accumulata in questi giorni serviranno a vivere in un ambiente più sano e a risparmiare molte risorse? Lo scopriremo solo vivendo! :-)
Will the economic sacrifices and physical fatigue accumulated in these days make us live in a healthier environment and save a lot of resources? We'll find out just living! :-)

P.s.: durante i lavori abbiamo cercato di ridurre al massimo i rifiuti, riciclando tutto ciò che era possibile riciclare, rimettendo in circolo i nostri beni inutilizzati e portando all'isola ecologica tutto ciò che non poteva essere riciclato. ;-)

L’abat-jour che voleva essere ‘verde’ / The table lamp that wanted to be ‘green’

C’era una volta un abat-jour in una stanzetta di una casa di vacanza al mare.
Come tutti gli oggetti delle case di vacanza, dove l’arredo si limita all’essenziale, questa non era che una modestissima lampada anni ‘80, con una base in metallo tonda e verniciata di bianco, un flessibile metallico a fare da sostegno al corpo luce, composto da un paralume emisferico anch’esso di metallo, verniciato bianco.
There was a time when a table lamp stayed in a little room in a holiday home at the seaside.
As all the objects in a holiday home, where furniture is essential, this was only a little simple table lamp that goes back to ’80s, with a round white painted metallic base, a hose that held the bulb and a hemispheric lampshade even in white painted metal.

L’abat-jour, se ne stava tutto il tempo a testa bassa a fare il suo dovere, su di un comodino, illuminando pagine consunte di libri gialli o di parole incrociate in quelle ore estive serali o notturne, quando il caldo non dà tregua al sonno. Era utile, non c’è che dire, ma aveva un gran difetto: bastava toccare il paralume, in un momento di distrazione, per indirizzare la luce, che – ahia – eri costretto a ritirare subito la mano dal metallo rovente, imprecando contro chi avesse avuto quella ‘geniale’ idea di design irresponsabile! Lei, l’abat-jour, di questo se ne vergognava molto e desiderava una vita un po’ più spensierata e verde!
The table lamp was switched on all night long, doing its job, on a bedside, lighting up old pages of detective stories books or crossword magazines, during those late summer evenings when heat doesn’t make the rest easier. It was an useful object, we cannot deny, but there was a little fault: if you absently touched the lampshade for redirecting light – ouch –, you had to retract the hand because it was hot, and curse on the irresponsable designer! So the table lamp proved shame for sure and dreamed of a more happy and green life! 

Ma un bel giorno il vecchio bulbo ad incandescenza venne messo da parte per essere sostituito dalle nuove lampadine a risparmio energetico e un’anima buona che aveva preso a cuore questo epocale cambiamento, volle sottoporre la lampada a questa novità. Inutile dire che il famoso designer di cui sopra, non aveva avuto una tale lungimiranza e quindi nel paralume le nuove lampadine non volevano proprio saperne di entrare. Ma anche ‘l’anima buona’ aveva un cervellino abituato a pensare e ripensare. Così con non poca fatica riuscì a separare il paralume dal tubolare e per far questo dovette sfilare il filo interno (tagliandolo) con tutto il portalampada. Fortunatamente – o sfortunatamente, dipende dal momento e dai punti di vista – si trovava lì ad attendere un nuovo utilizzo, un filo dotato di spina, interruttore e portalampada reduce da una brutta caduta in cui un altro paralume di vetro era andato in frantumi.
But one day the old bulb was substituted by a new greener one and a good heart who loved environment and this great change, wanted to make the table lamp a greener one. But we must say that the already blamed designer hasn’t been so forward-looking and the new energy saving lamps won’t fit in the lampshade. So the ‘good heart’, who was used to be inspired by a creative brain, proved to separate the lampshade from the hose cutting the electrical wire. Luckily – or not, it depends from the point of view –, a new wire was there standing by, waiting for a new use: it survived to a bad crash of another table lamp, when the glass lampshade was broken in pieces.
Quindi, siccome 1+1 fa 2, dalla combinazione delle due vecchie lampade ne rinacque una nuova e questa sì che poteva ora essere orgoliosa di essere più ecologica! Oltretutto scaldava molto meno. Ma le mancava ancora un paralume che schermasse la luce e proteggesse la lampadina da urti accidentali.
So, as the sum of 1+1 is 2, from the mix of the two lamps a new one was born and this one it could be proud to be greener! Now it burned less, but it missed a lampshader that could shield the light and protect the lamp from accidental hits.

Così dopo tanto cercare, un bel giorno, nel cervello pensieroso di cui sopra si accese ancora una lampadina, quella delle idee, questa volta: il supporto in polipropilene traslucido di un buonissimo uovo di cioccolata, anch’esso lasciato in stand-by in attesa di un riutilizzo, finì per diventare il nuovo paralume dell’abat-jour con un piccolo tocco creativo finale, una decorazione vegetale fatta con scarti di lucido adesivo colorato per cartellonistica.
So, after searching for a long time, one bright day, in that thoughtful brain belonging to the good heart, a lamp suddenly switched on, a new idea now! The transparent polypropylene support of a chocolate Easter egg, even waiting for a new use, ended to become the new lampshade, with a little creative touch, a green decoration made with colored scraps of glossy sticker sheets used for signage.

 

Ora sì che l’abat-jour si sentiva veramente più verde! E continuò ad illuminare serate estive, senza pensieri e con una rilassante luce venata di verde... Così visse per molto tempo ancora, felice e contenta!
Now the table lamp could feel greener than ever, so it went on to enlighten happy evenings with its green nuanced light. Thus it lived happily for a long long time!

L’elettricità è dietro l’angolo / Electricity is around the corner

Strano come nessuno ancora nella mia zona abbia notato qualcosa di nuovo e di insolito, specialmente in un periodo come questo, l’inverno, quando la zona a mare di Rimini è poco movimentata, poco frequentata, con l’orizzonte del mare ancora grigio e la spiaggia di sabbia umida praticamente deserta.
Quando me ne sono accorta io ero sull’autobus, diretta verso il centro: sono stata diversi minuti con un’espressione un po’ inebetita e dentro di me un sorriso enorme.
Funny how no one yet in my area have noticed something new and unusual, especially in a time like this, the winter, when the sea area of Rimini is not busy, not crowded, with the horizon of the sea still gray and the beach with wet sand almost deserted.
When I realized it I was on the bus, towards the center: for several minutes my face had a stupid look but a huge smile was inside me.

Eccole, sono due belle colonnine per la ricarica dei veicoli elettrici, nuove di zecca!!!
Quindi qualcosa sta cambiando per davvero! Ci si augura solo che non facciano la stessa fine dei distributori del latte…
Forse sta a noi renderle utili. Quindi se in futuro dovessi pensare all’acquisto di una nuova auto, non avrò più scuse, né io, né voi cari i miei nord-riminesi!!!

Perhaps it is for us to make them useful. So if in the future I’ll think about buying a new car, I have no more excuses, nor I, nor you, my dear inhabitants of the North Rimini!

Questa sera dalle 18.00 ricordo a tutti che in tutta Italia si festeggia la Festa del Risparmio Energetico M'illumino Di Meno, promossa dalla trasmissione radiofonica Caterpillar, appuntamento che ormai non ha più bisogno di presentazioni. Ognuno, chi ancora in ufficio, chi in casa, proverà a fare a meno non solo di luce elettrica, ma di tutte quelle cose che concorrono al quotidiano spreco di energia.

Non so che ne pensate voi ma io non vorrei perdermelo...

Bentornati su Dandaworld! / Welcome back to Dandaworld!

Siamo nel 2011! E auguro a tutti che sia cominciato nel migliore dei modi!
Per me è cominciato “col botto”… nel senso che prima o poi scoppierò per i miei tantissimi impegni che sono riusciti ad occupare anche il mio tempo libero!
Scusate, infatti, la mia assenza. Ma non mi sono dimenticata di voi.
Anzi vi ho pensato spesso e sono stata assalita da una marea di rimorsi per il pensiero di voler comunicarvi tante cose e non avere il modo e il tempo di farlo.
Però, invece di raccontarvi il perché, vorrei cogliere l’occasione per rianimare un po’ il blog e proporvi diversi spunti da approfondire, un po’ per volta, magari per conto vostro.
We are in 2011! And I wish that everyone has begun in the best way!
For me it started “with a bang” ... in the sense that sooner or later I’ll break out for my many commitments managing to occupy my spare time too!
So sorry for my absence. But I have not forgotten you.
Indeed I often thought of you and was assaulted by a wave of remorses for wanting to tell you many things and not have the time to do so.
But instead of telling you why, I would like to take this opportunity to give a new life to the blog and suggest some avenues to be explored dribs and drabs, maybe your own.

Comincio innanzitutto col salutare e ringraziare vecchi e nuovi amici.

Innanzitutto Compost John, che direttamente da York, UK, ci incoraggia e ci guida alla pratica del compostaggio domestico. È approdato al mio blog nei commenti a questo mio vecchio post – nella discussione su cosa è compostabile – e ho scoperto che è una persona in gamba, che non si arrende di fronte alle difficoltà che una vita eco-sostenibile può comportare. Ma ho ancora molto da scoprire su di lui. Seguitelo con me sul suo attivissimo blog Low Carbon Lifestyle (in inglese)!
First Compost John, directly from York, UK, who encourages us with the practice of home composting. He came trough my blog in comments to this old post – the discussion on compostable things – and I discovered that he is a smart person, who does not surrender in front of difficulties that a eco-sustainable life can bring. But I still have much to know about John. Follow him with me on his very active blog Low Carbon Lifestyle (in English)!

Poi volevo congratularmi con la cara Mrs. Green di Myzerowaste.com, il cui successo, nel tentativo di ridurre al massimo i rifiuti di tutta la sua famiglia, è sbarcato fin qui in Italia, sulle pagine del giornale La Repubblica. La notizia ha colpito in maniera impressionante gli italiani e di lei e della sua meravigliosa famiglia si continua a parlare sui social network. Pensate che i miei amici di Facebook mi hanno proposto di continuare la sfida intrapresa più di un anno fa e di impormi come nuovo obiettivo il risultato della famiglia Strauss, cioè solo un sacchetto di spazzatura in tutto l’anno.
Bene, devo dire che l’impresa è abbastanza ardua, ma non mi spaventa più di tanto.
Vedremo. Intanto è davvero importante continuare a guardare avanti per scoprire che non è impossibile ridurre i propri rifiuti.
E bravi i nostri amici d’oltremanica, continuate così!
Then I wanted to congratulate with the dear Mrs. Green at Myzerowaste.com, whose success in an effort to minimize waste with of all her family, landed right here in Italy, on the pages of the newspaper La Repubblica. The impressive news hit the Italians and social networks are still talking about her wonderful family. Just think that my Facebook friends proposed me continuing the challenge taken over a year ago, with a new aim: the result of the Strauss’s challenge, that is only a bag of trash throughout the year.
Well, I must say that the aim is difficult enough, but it doesn’t scares me so much.
Let we see. Meanwhile, it is very important to continue to look forward, discovering that it is possible to reduce our waste.
And well done to our friends across the Channel, keep it up!

Un’altra persona che vorrei ringraziare per la sua costante attenzione al problema degli sprechi energetici è Riccardo, di Wutel.net, che mi ha anticipato in un argomento per me abbastanza spinoso. Quello dei consumi dei decoder digitali.
Come tutti gli italiani anche io e Irish abbiamo dovuto switchare al digitale terrestre, nello scorso dicembre.
Siamo andati alla ricerca di un decoder da collegare al nostro televisore LCD di cui eravamo già in possesso, ma non usavamo per la presenza in casa di uno a tubo catodico – quest’ultimo è al momento parcheggiato su un mobile in attesa di essere riutilizzato solo in collegamento al DVD recorder, quando vorremo vederci i nostri DVD, lungi da noi dal buttarlo via! –.
Insomma, abbiamo dovuto cambiare già una volta il decoder. A parte gli svariati motivi tecnici – cattivo funzionamento, impossibilità di registrare i programmi – eravamo caduti in una trappola finto-ecologica. Sulla scatola c’era in bella vista un marchio che vantava la caratteristica di risparmio energetico della scatoletta. E invece… abbiamo scoperto che il decoder non aveva pulsante di spegnimento e doveva restare perennemente in stand-by, pena la de-sintonizzazione dei canali memorizzati.
Che rabbia! Vi immaginate l’aumento di consumo energetico che avremmo visto in bolletta?
Abbiamo, poi, notato che tutti gli apparecchi recanti un simbolo di risparmio energetico, sono privi di pulsante di spegnimento!
Per fortuna, poi ne abbiamo trovato uno, senza marchi truffaldini e con pulsante on/off. Ma per essere certi che l’apparecchio, anche da spento non consumasse – e infatti da spento manda un sibilo strano – abbiamo collegato tv e decoder, insieme ad altri apparecchi ad una bella ciabatta con pulsante, così come consiglia il nostro Riccardo.
Consiglio vivamente di leggere il suo articolo sui consumi dei decoder per rendervi conto che questa diavoleria del digitale costerà alle famiglie italiane una spesa energetica molto maggiore di quanto non si pensasse!
E attenzione, per chi di voi deve ancora acquistare questi marchingegni!
Another person I want to thank for his constant attention to the problem of energy wastage is Riccardo, at Wutel.net, which told in advance a thorny issue for me. The energy waste of digital decoders.
Like all Italians Irish and me had to switch to the DTTV signal, last December.
We went looking for a decoder to be connected to our LCD TV, which we already have, but we did not use due to the presence in the house of a CRT one – the latter is currently parked on a table, waiting to be reused in connection with the DVD recorder… far be it from us by throwing it away! –.
In short, we have already had to change the decoder once. Apart from many technical reasons –malfunction, inability to record programs – we had fallen into a trap-fake label. The box had clearly a label that boasted the characteristic of energy-saving of the decoder. But ... we found that the decoder didn’t have the on/off button and had to remain permanently in stand-by, otherwise the de-tuning of channels.
Blimey! Can you imagine the increase in energy consumption that then we would saw in bill?
Then we noticed that all units bearing a energy saving symbol, had no switch-off button!
Fortunately, then we found one without that label and with the button. But to be sure that the equipment would not even consume energy when turned off – it sends a strange hissing sound – we connected TV, decoder and other equipments to a beautiful extension cable with button, so as recommended by our Riccardo.
I highly recommend reading his article on the energy consumption of decoders, realizing that this digital deviltry will cost to Italian families much more than we thought in terms of money and environment!
And please, pay attention if you have yet to buy these gadgets!

E dopo aver salutato questi amici blogger, vorrei farvi aprire gli occhi su un problema che sento moltissimo.
Sapete tutti ormai che il 2011 è l’anno in cui, qui in Italia, è finalmente scattato il divieto dell’uso delle sportine di plastica!!!
Ma… siamo sicuri che tutti stiano seguendo le direttive?
Io non sono molto convinta. Mi è bastato fare un giro per il mercato di Rimini… ho visto buste di plastica ovunque! Persino i negozi continuano a rifilarle.

You all know by now that 2011 is the year, when, here in Italy, the use of plastic bags is finally banned!
But ... are we sure that everyone is following the guidelines?
I am not very sure. It was enough for me to have a walk trough the market in Rimini... I saw plastic bags everywhere! Even in the shops.

Ma non è tutto: bisogna stare in guardia. Ci sono in giro già da parecchio delle buste che a prima vista non hanno nulla di diverso da quelle che sono state vietate, ma vengono presentate come biodegradabili. Si tratta del vecchio polietilene a cui sono stati aggiunti degli additivi che ne accelerano la degradazione. Viene chiamato ECM biodegradabile.
Ve ne faccio vedere qui due esempi:

Sembra che questo tipo di plastica non sia affatto compatibile con la raccolta dei rifiuti organici come dicono. Il PE – che fra l’altro è un derivato dal petrolio e, quindi, faremmo meglio a utilizzarne il meno possibile – non si degrada nel tempo previsto dagli impianti di compostaggio.
It seems that this type of plastic is not compatible with the organic waste collection as they say. The EP – which, among other things, is derived from oil and, therefore, we shold use as little as possible – does not degrade in time according to composting plants.

Quindi la mia raccomandazione è di portarsi sempre dietro le borse riutilizzabili in tela o in qualsiasi altro materiale durevole! E chi ha la fortuna di avere un esercizio commerciale potrebbe magari aderire all’iniziativa di Porta la Sporta!
Ma questo è un altro argomento di cui tornerò presto a parlarvi!
So my recommendation is to always carry the reusable bags made in canvas or other durable materials! And who have a business might be careful on these eco-fakes and maybe join the initiative of “Porta la Sporta”!

Lunga vita alla… mia pentola a pressione! / God save… my pressure cooker!

Giorni fa ero alle prese con un’entusiasmante operazione di “cucina di recupero”, quando la pentola a pressione, a due anni dal suo primo utilizzo, ha cominciato a sbuffare dalla valvola di sicurezza.

Nooo! Temevo questo momento!
Ricevuta dalle mie carissime ex-coinquiline come regalo per la convivenza col mio moroso, la pentola a pressione è stata per un po’ inutilizzata. Avevo un certo timore verso questo strano marchingegno, forse trasmesso da mia madre, diffidente di qualsiasi novità tecnologica.
Col tempo, poi, mossa dal mio animo ecologico, mi sono fatta coraggio e, leggendo accuratamente le istruzioni, ho cominciato ad usarla per cucinare i legumi, scoprendo la grande versatilità di questo strumento in cucina. Ho preso, quindi, a cuocere verdure, zuppe… con un enorme risparmio di tempo e gas.
Some days ago I was dealt in an enthusiastic operation for “scraps cooking”, when my pressure cooker – after two years of use – started to puff from the safety valve.
Nooo! I really expected this moment!
Received by my ex-flatmates, as a gift for sharing a new life with my companion, the pression cooker stayed a long time unused. I was a bit terrified to use it, maybe this fear belonged from my mother’s mistrust in technology.
By time, I was moved from my green mood and I took the courage. I read all the instructions and started to use it to cook pulses. I discovered a great versatility of this kitchen tool and so I went on to cook vegetables, soups… saving a great amount of time and energy.

Ma, torniamo al fattaccio.

Illuminata dalla bellezza e perfezione del broccolo romanesco, le cui cime sembrano frattali creati al computer, avevo deciso di comprarne uno al mercato, dal momento che è di stagione.
Ero intenzionata a farne un ottimo sformato come Carla, pur non avendo le formelle utilizzate da lei. Quindi, l’avevo privato delle foglie e del torsolo che sarebbero state destinate alla compostiera.
But, let’s come back to tell you of the misdeed.
Seeing this blog post by the good Carla, from Il Clan di Nora Bra blog, I was enlightened by the beauty and perfection of the roman broccoli, which flesh seems designed as computer fractals. Then I decided to buy one at the market, seeing that this is the right season. I was decided to do a good pie as Carla did, even not having moulds like hers. Then I cut the leaves and the core that I should have thrown in the compost bin.

Ad un certo punto, però, mi è balenato in mente il fantastico blog Ecocucina, consigliato in questo post de Il Bistrot di Lise e Metroicon, golosissimo blog che seguo da poco. Ho fatto due più due e gli avanzi del broccolo sono andati a finire nella pentola a pressione, per essere poi congelati e riutilizzati in seguito seguendo questa ricetta o quest’altra.
But, first to do it, I thought to pop over a fantastic blog, Ecocucina, suggested by this blog post in Il Bistrot di Lise e Metroicon, a blog full of very greedy recipes that I follow since a little time ago. Collecting all my thoughts, in short the scraps of broccoli went into the pressure cooker. Then I would freeze them and use in a second time for this or that recipe.

Ho scoperto un intero mondo sulla cucina fatta con gli avanzi. Già lo scorso anno mi ero cimentata nella cottura delle foglie dei ravanelli, per le quali avevo ricevuto molti suggerimenti da tante amiche blogger, in particolare dalle inglesi. Negli UK c’è una vera e propria mania di recuperare e cucinare ogni scarto di cucina e numerose sono le iniziative sotto lo slogan “Love food, hate waste”. Ora che c’è anche un sito tutto italiano, che parla di questo, perché non buttarcisi a capofitto?
So I discovered a full world of scrap cooking. I just remember that the last year I was committed to cook the radishes leaves. I received a lot of suggestions from my blogger friends, especially from the English bloggers. In UK there’s a out and out mania for rescuing and cooking leftovers. Many are the initiatives that come under the slogan “Love food, hate waste”. So, if there’s also an Italian website on the scraps cooking, why don’t we take the benefits?

Uno degli ulteriori spunti a cui volevo attingere suggeriva di utilizzare i gambi dei cipollotti in questa minestra, cucinandola con la pentola a pressione. Ma in quest’ultima fase la pentola ha deciso di non collaborare e, a inizio cottura, ho dovuto trasferire il tutto in una normalissima pentola con coperchio. Fortunatamente la minestra è riuscita lo stesso… molto gustosa, fra l’altro!
One of the other ideas I wanted to realize, suggested to use green onion stalks in this soup, cooking it with the pressure cooker. But at the end it refused to collaborate and I had to move all in a normal pot with the lid. Fortunately the soup was done and… very good by the way!

Ma non volevo rinunciare a lungo alla pentola a pressione… troppo utile!
Così sabato scorso, l’ho portata in assistenza per una revisione alle valvole. La valvola di sicurezza è stata sostituita in men che non si dica, alla modica cifra di otto euro. E la pentola è di nuovo sana e salva a casa, pronta a cuocere! Yuppie!
But I didn’t want to do unless my pressure cooker… it was too much useful for me!
So, last Saturday I took it to the customer care centre for a revision on valves. The safety valve was replaced in a very short time and I had to pay only eight euros. The pressure cooker is safe at home and it’s ready to cook! Yay!

Perciò, morale della favola: meglio riparare che ricomprare!
Alle 3 R che di solito ci piace ricordare (Ridurre, Riusare, Riciclare), dobbiamo aggiungerne una di massima importanza… Riparare!
Questo è un insegnamento che mi ha trasmesso la mia cara amica Almost Mrs. Average, ed è un’abitudine che stiamo pian piano dimenticando.
Riparare significa risparmiare un sacco di risorse, energia ed emissioni ed evitare che un oggetto vada in discarica. Ricordiamocelo!
Quindi, cara pentola a pressione… rimettiamoci all’opera ora!
So, the moral lesson is: it’s better to repair than buy again!
To the 3 R's we like to recall (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) we have to add one of maximum importance… Repair!
This is a lesson I learn by my dear friend Almost Mrs Average, and it is a habit we are forgetting.
To repair means to save a lot of resources, energy and emissions, avoiding that an object goes into landfill. We must remember it!
So, dear pressure cooker… let’s restart to work now!

Oggi parliamo di… libri e DVD / Today let’s speak about… books and DVDs

Siamo sotto le feste e capita spesso di cercare qualche libro o DVD da regalare.
Una come me, che ama l’ambiente, non dovrebbe elogiare molto l’uso della carta stampata, e altrettanto l’acquisto di DVD o CD. L’editoria cartacea e digitale ha un impatto ambientale non indifferente sia per i processi produttivi che per lo smaltimento dei materiali.
We are in full Christmas season and perhaps you’ll be intent in searching for some books or DVDs to give as gift.
One as me, who loves environment, should not praise the use of printed paper, or the purchase of DVDs or CDs. Paper and digital editions have a huge environmental impact for both production processes and disposal of raw materials.

Ma chi immagina un mondo senza libri? Chi vuole rinunciare a vedere comodamente un film sulla poltrona di casa? Beh, io stessa mi auguro che le nostre abitudini cambino, anche se poi dovrei trovare un’alternativa più verde anche alla mia stessa professione. ;)
But who imagines a world without books? Who wants to refuse to watch a movie comfortably sit in a sofa at home? Well, I myself wish that our habits will change, even if then I should find another greener job. ;)

In ogni caso varrebbe la pena spendere i nostri soldi per libri e DVD dal contenuto interessante ed educativo, oltre che semplicemente piacevole. Sono, inoltre, oggetti che durano e possono essere poi facilmente scambiati con altre persone che possano accogliere gli stessi messaggi.
Alcuni di questi messaggi sono spesso esclusi dai circuiti del grande mercato del cinema e dell’editoria.
Anyway it is worth to spend our money for books and DVDs with an interesting an educational content, as well as simply pleasant. They are also long lasting objects and they can be easily exchanged with other people who can understand the same messages.
Some of these messages are often cut away from the great market of movies and books.

A proposito, vorrei sottoporre alla vostra attenzione un documentario recentemente prodotto da MacroVideo, un editore molto attento alla dimensione ecologica, che mi è stato segnalato dalla redazione stessa.
At proposal, I want to show you a documentary recently published from MacroVideo, a publisher that focus many books about the ecological dimension. This book was suggested to me from the same editor.


Si tratta di “Vivere senza petrolio”, un film che racconta “la straordinaria forza e tenacia di un popolo che per primo si è trovato a sperimentare la mancanza della risorsa petrolio in tutte le sue forme”. Lo scenario è Cuba, dove, successivamente alla crisi energetica degli anni ’90, la gente ha deciso di evitare il rischio di possibili gravi conseguenze nell’alimentazione e nella società, cambiando coraggiosamente stile di vita.
Let’s talk about “The Power of Community”, a movie which tells on the “extraordinary efforts and tenacity of a people that was the first to experiment the lack of oil in all its faces”. Sicuramente questo documentario, insieme alla lettura del libretto che lo accompagna, offre degli spunti di riflessione molto importanti, in un momento come questo e nella nostra stessa realtà che sta guardando al futuro con tanti dubbi e incertezze. È un messaggio positivo, come si può immaginare dalla frase chiave che il film propone:
Surely this documentary, together with the reading of the enclosed booklet, gives very important foods for thoughts, good in a moment like this, in our own reality with an uncertain future. It is a positive message, as you can imagine from the key-phrase suggested from the movie:

“Fai quello che puoi, con quello che hai, con chi sei, dove sei”
“Do what you can, with what you have, with whom you are and where you are”

L’entusiasmo sta tornando, credetemi, e questo soprattutto grazie a voi!
I start this post thanking all the people who tried to raise me, reading my notes of discouragement on what is happening these days in Rimini. Enthusiasm is coming again, believe me, and this happens thanks to you!

Sabato e domenica scorsa, nemmeno a farlo apposta, io e Irish avevamo programmato un’escursione nella zona del Delta del Po per staccare la spina. Sono stati due giorni molto belli e mi sono serviti per prendere una pausa, dimenticando le amare riflessioni e rinnovando la mia passione per la natura. Anche se al mio ritorno ho ritrovato un clima ancora più teso, ho ritrovato lo stesso un po’ di equilibrio per capire quali sono i miei limiti e quali invece sono le qualità su cui posso ancora puntare per sentirmi coerente con me stessa.
Probabilmente molto ha influito la sinergia con Madre Terra… durante la breve gita, abbiamo fatto un bellissimo incontro con un daino che faceva il suo quotidiano giro nel Gran Bosco della Mesola! Ma di questo val la pena di dedicare un post a parte, più in là, ma comunque presto.
Last Saturday and Sunday, as if on purpose, Irish and me planned a hike in the land of the Delta of Po, as to cut off power from the stress of the week. They were two wonderful days and I take the chance to relax, forgetting bitter thoughts and newly finding me fond of nature. Even if coming back home I found a tense atmosphere, I found also a bit of mental balance to understand what are my limits and what instead are my qualities on which I must trust to feel consistent with myself.
Probably Mother Nature gave me the strength… during this short hike we had an incredible meeting with a deer who was having a ride in the Big Wood of Mesola! But I will tell you about this sooner!

Oggi mi preme parlarvi delle belle scoperte che ho fatto ieri sera…
Dopo esserci recati al solito negozio ‘bio’ per una spesa urgente, e accorgerci di aver sbagliato orario – avrei dovuto prendere in considerazione quello invernale –, abbiamo deciso di non sprecare a vuoto il viaggio in macchina e visitare il centro di Rimini, in particolare piazza Cavour, che è in questi giorni il luogo più animato grazie ad AmbienteFestival.
A quell’ora ormai erano chiuse le attività di laboratorio, e parte di quelle commerciali relative ad Ecomia. Non c’erano particolari conferenze, come quelle che da stasera in poi riprenderanno vita, ma restavano aperte – credo fino alle 22, e questo accade ogni giorno – diverse esposizioni davvero interessanti:

After going to the eco shop for a urgent shopping, and having noticed that was closed – we didn’t consider the new winter opening time – we decided not to waste time and fuel spent by car but to go visiting the centre of Rimini. In particular Cavour square which is the most animated place in the city, thanks to AmbienteFestival.
On that time laboratory and commercial activities – which ones of Ecomia – were ended. There weren’t special conferences, as those ones that start from today evening. But many expositions were still opened – and they are almost open every day until 10 p.m.–:

• La mostra “Rifiuti in cerca d’autore”: una carrellata di opere d’arte e installazioni, alcune davvero geniali, che hanno come tema o come materiale di realizzazione i rifiuti. Alcuni quadri mi hanno veramente impressionato… mostrano quanto la questione rifiuti sia entrata nel cuore di alcune persone, suscitando orrore, sconforto, ma anche creatività e voglia di dar vita dai rifiuti stessi a qualcosa di nuovo e bello. Non è un caso che la gran parte degli artisti in esposizione sono di origine campana! A questo link – dove ho scoperto che il concorso attinente è aperto ancora fino al 30 novembre – potete vederne qualche foto.
The “Waste Looking for Authors” exhibition: it is a show of artworks – many very ingenious – that have garbage as theme or as work materials. Some pictures impressed me so much… they show how the waste problems broke some people’s heart, provoking horror, discouragement, but also creativity and the will to transform waste in something new and nice. Not by chance many artists are from Campania! At this link – where I discovered that the connected competition will end the 30th November – you can see some pictures.

• L’esposizione “Le buone pratiche”, dove le istituzioni, gli enti e i soggetti privati, che partecipano alla manifestazione, mettono a disposizione le loro informazioni per modificare in “eco” le proprie azioni quotidiane. Da notare la scenografia fatta interamente in materiale da recupero (moquette, ferro, legno e cartone), elaborata da artisti e professionisti del design.
The show “Good Practises” where institutions, boards and private companies, who participate to the event, offer their information to make green your daily actions. To be mentioned the scenery entirely made with reuse materials (carpeting, iron, wood and carton), elaborated from artists and designers.

• Le due mostre fotografiche “Riclick Preview: quando un rifiuto diventa una risorsa” e “Visione periferica”, due modi differenti di concepire la fotografia come espressione di ciò che oggi avviene sotto i nostri occhi nei contesti urbani e non. Composizioni fotografiche molto originali, devo dire!
The two shows “Riclick Preview: When Waste Becomes Resource” and “Suburban Vision”, two different ways to use photography as expression of what today happens under our eyes, in cities and out there. Photographic compositions were very original, I must say!

• La boutique etica “Re-arts” e il bookshop. Un posto dove devo assolutamente tornare! Si possono acquistare vari accessori realizzati da diversi artisti e artigiani fatti con materiale di recupero: borse fatte con teli in pvc stampati, gomma da copertoni, magliette e sportine con una grafica realizzata da persone in carcere, collane e cinture in scarti di stoffa, sedili, anelli e spille realizzati con i lego e con i tasti dei computer. E che dire per la scelta dei libri… ricchissima e interessantissima!
The ethic boutique “Re-arts” and the bookshop. A place where I absolutely must return! There you can buy accessories created by various artists and artisans, all made from recovered material: bags made by printed PVC sheets, rubber from tyres, t-shirts and shopping bags with a graphic by jailbirds, necklaces and belts made with clothes waste, seats, rings and brooches created from legos and computer keys. And what about the book selection… very rich and interesting!

• La mostra esterna dell’associazione Dinamo Energia Creativa “La casa-bici”. Tante installazioni divertenti e bizzarre create che hanno la bici come elemento costante, materiale o semplicemente ispiratore.
The external show “The Home-Bike” by the association Dinamo Energia Creativa. Many funny and bizarre artworks, where bike is the constant element, the material or simply the inspiration.

• La mostra fotografica e video “I love Bio. Costruire consapevolmente” sulla bioedilizia realizzata recentemente.
The photo and video show “I love Organic. Conscious Building”about the green way to build, especially in the local area.

• Infine, l’esposizione “Design Italiano per la sostenibilità”. Oggetti d’uso visti e nuovi creati riciclando materiali come alluminio, vetro, carta, plastica o creati per il risparmio energetico, come elettrodomestici a basso consumo, lampade a LED, mezzi di trasporto elettrici… La cosa più bella di questo spazio dedicato al design è la parete che ospita i più innovativi materiali che utilizzano materie da recupero pre e post-consumo. Puoi avvicinarti, toccarli, capire come sono fatti e immaginarne il loro utilizzo.
At last we visited the exposition “Italian Design for Sustainability”. New and old design objects, created for recycling materials like aluminium, glass, paper, plastic or created for saving energy like white goods with low consumes, LED lamps, electrical vehicles… The best thing in this place dedicated to design is a wall where you can find all kinds of innovative materials from recycle pre and post-consume. You can approach and touch them, understanding how they are made and imagine a new use.

Insomma, in poco tempo e piccoli spazi abbiamo avuto modo di vedere come arte, fotografia, design e architettura sono settori che si stanno sempre più orientando verso la sostenibilità ambientale. Una bella sfida per quel mondo produttivo incapace di rivedere i propri standard ormai obsoleti ed inquinanti, una bella avventura nel trasformare quanto abbiamo creato di brutto e dannoso in qualcosa di gradevole e utile anche al solo “farci riflettere”.
Well, in a short time and a little space, we had the possibility to see that art, photography, design and architecture are fields that are more and more going toward environmental sustainability. A good challenge for that industries which aren’t able to review their old and polluting standards. A good adventure in transforming what we created of bad and harmful in something agreeable and useful, even for the simple ‘thinking’.

Per la mia mente che ha sete di stimoli per la creatività, è stata davvero una scoperta. Per il mio animo, alla ricerca di incoraggiamento nel fare ogni giorno del mio meglio, è stata una rappacificazione.
Ovviamente oltre agli stimoli positivi ed incoraggianti ho trovato punti deboli sui quali una così grande manifestazione dovrebbe lavorare per le prossime edizioni. Di questo ne parlavamo io e Irish al ritorno a casa e di questo parlerò qui sul blog a conclusione dell’evento, così per rifletterci sopra ed eventualmente dare suggerimenti per chi il prossimo anno si troverà a rinnovare il suo impegno all’interno dell’organizzazione.
For my mind, thirsty of spurs for creativity, it was really a discovering. For my soul, searching for encouragements in doing everyday my best, it was a pacification.
Of course behind the stimuli and encouragements I found some weak points on which the organisation of a so great event will have to work for next editions. As we came back home, Irish and me, we talked about these, but I’ll tell to you on the blog when the event will end, so to reflect about it and possibly give suggestions to the people involved in the new arrangement.

Quest'estate ce la ricorderemo, è stata all'insegna del sole... e del solare...
Avete notato anche voi che alcuni stabilimenti balneari in tutt'Italia stanno adottando il solare termico?

Questo è uno stabilimento che si trova a Margherita di Savoia, ristrutturato di recente. I proprietari hanno ben pensato di utilizzare un pannello solare per la doccia calda!
This is a beach establishment in Margherita di Savoia (BA). It was recently rebuilt. The owners well thought to use solar heat to warm the water of showers!

E se in questi giorni sarete in autostrada date un'occhiata alle stazioni di servizio! Notate qualcosa di strano?
